     About Indigenous Students Resource Center

     Fu Jen Catholic University is the University with a long historical standing. Since 1961 the Re-establishment in Taiwan, the University has established 11 colleges, and School of Continuing Education departments . At present, the number of students are approximately 25,000. Among all the students, the indigenous take up about 400. Hence, a specialized indigenous organization has setup inside the campus in devoting efforts and attention to all the indigenous. This is the mission and feature of equality being seeded as the basic foundation service for Fu Jen Catholic University.
    To further expand the diversity of university cultures, the resource integration, the respect to minorities, the University has officially founded Indigenous Student Resource Center” under Article 18 “Education Act for Indigenous Peoples” to highlight the true spirit of Fu Jen Catholic University. To upgrade indigenous students’ capacities of learning and living , the services for indigenous students would be implemented exactly. Also, we improve the indigenous students’ quality of studying and help them to study in a respected and available environment.
    The expectation of Indigenous Student Resource Center is to steady students’ cultural identity , thus highlight the characteristics of Fu Jen .Finally , we nurture talent for the country and indigenous society.
    IRC organizes varies activities which includes DIY courses and the speech of indigenous issue. In addition, all the lecturers we invited is indigenous. We also support Lumah club to participate competitions or hold extracurricular activities.
